Resources, discussions and networking opportunities through the education process enhance the teaching of facilitators and deepen our faith. In addition to Wednesday Bible studies, worshipers select from diverse courses and studies provided through key ministries – Christian Learning Academy, Institute and Small Groups, and Vacation Bible School.
One of the church’s primary vehicles for Christian education, the Christian Learning Academy meets each Sunday morning from 9:00-9:45am. The academy features content for children to adult through traditional Sunday School Bible study with the Precepts for Living curriculum and non-traditional Bible study with the Christian Foundations curriculum, both in 12-week semesters. Refer to the Christian Education Course Catalog for course descriptions and dates.
Additional learning opportunities are available through Institutes and Small Groups.
A series of courses offered for six weeks, the Institutes explore biblical principles, increase understanding, apply acquired knowledge to personal lives and influence society. The Small Groups of 8-12 people provide opportunities to study God’s Word while fellowshipping in a relaxed setting. The content addresses the daily challenge of people using books, articles, media and authentic conversations.
A fun and interactive adventure based on a themed curriculum, this week-long program of religious education employs Bible stories, religious song, arts and crafts, skits, healthy living activities and engages children of all ages, adults and families. The 2017 theme was “The Faith Run: On Course with God”.
Our Christian Learning Academy features both traditional Bible study through Precepts for Living curriculum and nontraditional Bible study through Christian Foundations Bible studies. Attendees select one 45-minute class from either curriculum for a 12-week period. You are invited to join any class.
